Concept Introduction:

The branched polymer of glucose is glycogen which is written as (Glucose)_n . In glycogen, the glucose residues are linearly linked by $\alpha$ -1,4 glycosidic bonds and after every 10 residues, a chain of glucose residues (branched) is linked by $\alpha$ -1,6 glycosidic bonds.
