(a)
The bar which is hotter.
(a)

Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
On heating one bar glows dark red and other glows bright orange. As temperature increases, wavelength decreases and hence color changes from infrared to visible range (VIBGYOR) to ultraviolet rays.
In the VIBGYOR, red has least frequency and hence longest wavelength. As one increases the temperature, first red color is reached with least energy and when it is heated more, the color reaches bright orange and hence the temperature is higher and rod is hotter.
Conclusion:
The rod which glows bright orange is hotter.
(b)
The bar which
(b)

Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
On heating one bar glows dark red and other glows bright orange. According to radiant heat energy formula
Energy is proportional to
Conclusion:
The rod with bright orange color radiates more energy.

- Mick and Rick are twins born on Earth in the year 2175. Rick grows up to be an Earth-bound robotics technician while Mick becomes an intergalactic astronaut. Mick leaves the Earth on his first space mission in the year 2200 and travels, according to his clock, for 10 years at a speed of 0.75c. Unfortunately, at this point in his journey, the structure of his ship undergoes mechanical breakdown and the ship explodes.
