How does the speed of sound in air compare with its speed in water and in steel?

The speed of sound in air, water & steel.
Answer to Problem 8A
The speed of sound in steel & liquid is more than the air .
Explanation of Solution
Introduction: The sound is a wave which ravel through material medium. It will travel fastest in solid & slowest in air.
The speed of sound in the steel is more than liquid and air as in the solid there is very less space between particles. The speed of sound in liquid is more than the air, as in liquid the molecules are closer than the air.
Conclusion:
The speed of sound in air is less than the speed of sound in steel & liquid.
