How is resonance produced in a vibrating object?
To explain:The production of resonance in a vibrating object.
Answer to Problem 16A
When the force is applied to object so that it will vibrate at its natural frequency, it is said to be resonance. Due to this resonance the amplitude of vibration will increased.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
The external forced is applied to an object then it vibrates at a particular frequency which is said to be forced vibration. And when the forced vibration frequency is equal to the natural frequency then resonance occurs.
When the particles of object are disturbed then due to vibration of object particles the sound is produced of different frequencies. The combination of different frequency produces the special sound. Every material has different frequency of vibration which produces a special sound known as natural frequency.
When the external forced is applied to an object then it vibrates at a particular frequency which is said to be forced vibration.
When the forced is applied to object so that it will vibrate at its natural frequency which is said to be resonance. And due to this resonance the amplitude of vibration will increased.
When the forced vibrations frequency is equal to natural frequency, then resonance occurs.
Conclusion:
Thus when the forced vibrations frequency is equal to natural frequency, then resonance occurs.
