The weight of a human brain on average is about 1.4 to 1.6 kilograms. It is the command center of the nervous system. The brain activity consumes about 20% of the oxygen of the body and 15% of its blood glucose. The brain is divided into three main parts: the forebrain, the midbrain, and the hindbrain.
