The polarized sunglasses block the glare form light reflection.

Explanation of Solution

Introduction: Light is a sort of wave which carries energy through space or matter. Light ray is a narrow beam of light which travels in straight line.

If sunglasses are polarizing sunglasses, there should be orientations of glasses which almost block out the glare and also, other orientations that let $50\%$ of the glare through. Also, polarized sunglasses completely block horizontally polarized glare. The advantage of these sunglasses that is a total elimination of glare.

Regular sunglasses block $50-75\%$ of all light that are coming in. If these sunglasses block glare at $75\%$ , glare is so intense that it still makes it difficult for human eyes.

Conclusion: With the help of polarized sunglasses human can see the objects in water or in sun light without blinking our eyes.
