There is no interference when red filter and blue filter is used for double slit experiment.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:Interference occurs when two waves reach the same spot. Also, in interference, all the maxima have the same intensity.
The diffraction pattern will consist of two overlapped single slits in which one is blue and the other is red.
The overlapping of different patterns causes purplish shade of the bright spot, which is the mixture of red and blue color. Since, blue has the minimum and red has the maximum wavelength, the chances of these colors forming a central bright spot are minimum to zero.
