Interpretation:

Describe the arrangement of elements in the periodic table and explain the usefulness of the table.

Concept Introduction: The modern periodic table has 118 elements; study of each element individually is very difficult task. We try to group each element so that study of each element becomes easy task. Periodic table also studies periodicity in the properties of elements with atomic number. Modern periodic table established the relation between chemical properties and atomic number.
