Concept introduction:

The compounds that contain carbon and hydrogen atoms are known as hydrocarbon compounds. These compounds originate from plants and animals. These are also known as organic compounds. These gives rise to different classes of compounds on substitution. These are used in various industrial and commercial fields. If the compound is cyclic and saturated then it is named by using prefix cyclo in parent chain. If it is unsaturated then it is known by a special class of compounds.
