Humans are evolved from early primates. The tree living placental mammals are placed under order primates. It is divided into two subgroups: prosimians that include lemurs, tarsiers, and lorises and anthropoids that include monkeys, apes, and humans. They show the characteristics like the development of the large brain, grasping a hand and binocular vision. The order primates have a family Hominidae that includes great apes or hominids.
