Introduction:

Transposons are DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) segments that have the internal property of movement between different loci, which may or may not be homologous in nature. They are called “jumping genes” of the genome. They move by the process of transposition, which is a recombination event that involves the cutting or copying of DNA elements from the donor locus and its movement to locus site.
