Concept Used:
- Perimeter is the distance around the outside of a shape.
- The formula for the perimeter of a rectangle is, P = length + breadth + length + breadth Or, P = 2(length + breadth).
Calculation:
Length of wall is 3 ft. longer than it is wide.
Let if wide (b) = x
So length (l) = x+3
And the total length of the border (P) =54 ft.
So length (l) = x+3
And wide (b) = x
