Surface area of rectangle = $l\times b$

Where $b$ is breadth and $l$ is length.

Volume of triangle prism = $\frac{1}{2}\times$ product of base, height and width.

Calculation:

Area of triangle,

  =$\frac{1}{2}\times b\times h$

Substituting the values,

  =$\frac{1}{2}\times 6\times 8$

So,

  =$\frac{48}{2}$

Area of triangle =24 $c{m}^2$

Area of rectangle,

  =$l\times b$

Substituting the values,

  =$5\times 8$

Area of rectangle = $40$

  $c{m}^2$

Total surface area of the figure=2 $\times$ Area of triangle + 2 $\times$ Area of rectangle +Area of rectangle2

  =$2\times 24+2\times 40+5\times 10$

So,

  =$48+80+50$

Total surface area of the figure=178 $c{m}^2$

Volume of triangle prism= $\frac{1}{2}\times$ product of base, height and width.
