The comparison for the method to draw the various line segment is done.

Explanation of Solution

The first step is to draw the segment $\overline{AB}$ of 2.5 inches as shown in Figure 1

The other step is to draw line of 2.5 inches that do not exceed 2.5 inches in this case the line draw is not accurate to 2.5 inches.

To obtain the line segment $\overline{EF}$ that is one should use the ruler that is much more accurate to use the. So the measure of $\overline{EF}$ and $\overline{AB}$ is similar as they are both made of the ruler but there are still chances that there is error.

In order to construct a segment $\overline{GH}$ that is congruent $\overline{AB}$ one should use the straight edge and compass the straight edge to the draw the line segment label the line as m as shown in Figure 2

The next step is to select a point on mand label to the point G on the line and then use the compass to draw the line with the circle centred at o and the radius of the circle equal to $AB$ then label the arc and line intersect at H such that $GH=AB$ . This congruence is more accurate than the other two methods.
