There are two major divisions of the autonomic nervous system namely; the parasympathetic and the sympathetic division. The parasympathetic division is responsible for the stimulation of contraction of the urinary bladder and inhibition of the heart. The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for the vasoconstriction of the smooth muscle contraction in the blood cell walls.
