Introduction:
The enteric nervous system, along with the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, forms the complete autonomic nervous system. It is present in the lining of the digestive tract in two forms myenteric plexus and submucous plexus. It mainly controls the activity of the digestive processes such as secretion and absorption of the enzyme, mobility and gastrointestinal blood flow.
