Artificial and naturally occurring passive immunity.
Introduction:
Immunity is the protection of the body from harmful foreign bodies which may cause diseases. There are primarily two types of specific immunity- Active and passive immunity. The specific immunity is characterized by the production of antibodies against the antigen and these antibodies either neutralize the antigen or coat them for their detection by the macrophages which in turn destroy the antigen.
