Concept Introduction:
Conductivity is utilized to determine the concentration of ions in a solution. The conductivity is directly proportional to the concentrations of the ions.
The concentration-conductivity relationship between strong and weak acids is different. At same concentration, the conductivity of strong acid solution is higher than weak acid because strong acids dissociate completely.
At same concentration, the conductivity of weak acid solution is lower than strong acid because weak acid dissociates partially into ions.
