The effect of transverse wave on amplitude, frequency, velocity, wavelength and period of rope

Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
There are mainly two types of waves: longitudinal wave and transverse waves. When particles of the medium oscillate in the direction of wave propagation, it is called longitudinal wave. When the particles of the medium oscillate at right angle to the direction of the wave propagation, it is called transverse wave.
Amplitude can be defined as the maximum displacement of the particle in the medium with respect to its rest position.
Time period can be defined as the time required for completion of one cycle or one vibration.
Frequency can be defined as the number of waves passing through a particular point in a given amount of time.
The speed the wave along the direction of wave propagation is called velocity of the wave.
Wavelength is the distance between successive crests or troughs of the wave.
When the hand begins to shake faster, the frequency of the waves is being increased. The period of the waves is inversely related to the frequency; thus, it decreases. There is no change in the velocity and amplitude of the wave. So, the wavelength which is related to frequency and velocity of the wave, also decreases.
Conclusion:
Hence, when the rope is shaken faster and faster with hand, there is no change in amplitude and velocity, frequency is increased while period and wavelength decrease.
