Explanation of Solution
From the two given molecule namely motor oil and gasoline; motor oil is non-polar. Gasoline is also non-polar molecule as both are hydrocarbons. According to ‘like dissolves like’ principle, the gasoline and motor oil possess same interactions.
Therefore, motor oil is readily soluble in gasoline.
