Collinear points are those points which lie on the same line.
Consider the diagram given below:
Here, the point A, B, C and D all lie on the same plane implying that these points are coplanar.
Also, the point A, B and C lie on the same line implying they are collinear. But the point D does not lie on that line so it is not collinear with the points A, B and C .
