On analyzing the two-way table, use marginal frequency to find the number of males by summing up the joint frequencies in that row.

  $64+168=232$

Males.

On analyzing the two-way table, use marginal frequency to find the number of females by summing up the joint frequencies in that row.

  $54+142=196$

Females.

On analyzing the two-way table, use marginal frequency to find the number of people who have said to yes to setting academic goals column.

  $64+54=118$
