There is no association between the kind of the degree and gender of the receiver.

Explanation of Solution

Given information: A two-way table representing the type of degree the college-bound high school seniors is given.

Using the conditional relative frequencies based on the total of columns to determine the existence of association,

As can be observed, both female and male seniors are roughly equally likely to plan on earning any of the three degrees. From this, it can be concluded that, there is no association between the kind of the degree and gender of the receiver.
