Introduction: In a monohybrid cross, allele from one locus is crossed with another allele from its homologous chromosome at the same locus. Mendel proposed the law of segregation based on the results of monohybrid cross that “two alleles at any locus tend to separate from each other, so they end up in different gametes”.
