The molecular shape corresponding to sp2 hybridization needs to be determined.
Concept introduction:
The molecular shape of the molecule depends on the number of bonds and lone pairs of electrons present in the molecule. The total number of valence electrons decides the hybridization of the central atom thus, the molecular geometry. The number of lone pairs decides the molecular shape which is different from molecular geometry due to lone pair-bond pair repulsion.

Reason for correct option:
The sp2 hybridization represents the total number of pairs of valence electrons to be 3. These could be just a bonded pair of electrons or bonded pairs along with lone pairs of electrons.
For 3 total pairs of valence electrons, the molecular geometry is trigonal planar. Now, if there is zero lone pair of electrons in the molecule, the molecular shape will also be trigonal planar but, if there is one lone pair of electron present on the central atom, the molecular shape will become linear.
