Chapter 10.7, Problem 24ATS
Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The selective reagents used to accomplish the given transformation should be draw and identified.

Concept Introduction:

Halogenation: The addition of halogen atoms to a π- conjunction system. The several unsaturated organic compounds like, alkenes, alkynes and cyclohexenes that has one double bond is halogenated, the resulting molecules is completely saturated or halogenated.

Sodium amide ( NaNH2 ): The strong base of ( NaNH2 ) will deprotonate alkynes ( -CC- ), alcohols ( R-OH ) and other organic functional groups with acidic protons such as esters and ketones. It is also a very strong nucleophile. It is a strong base and excellent nucleophile. It’s used deprotonated of weak acids and also for elimination reaction.

Markovnikov addition: The addition reaction of parotic acids to a different alkene or alkyne, the hydrogen atom of H-X becomes bonded to the carbon atom that the greatest number of hydrogen atoms in the starting alkene or alkyne.
