When a normal cell undergoes uncontrolled differentiation and division it causes tumor cells. It is a result of abnormal proliferation of the normal cells without controlled cell differentiation and apoptosis. The tumor is also known as a neoplasm. Two types of tumors are benign (neoplastic cells in a clustered form) and malignant (neoplastic cells are invasive).
