Drugs labeled as percentage solutions often express the dosage strength in metric mea-
sures in addition to percentage strength. The lidocaine label in Figure 9-6, a 2% solu-
tion, is an example.

1. How many mL are needed for a 10 mg dosage?
2. How many mL for a 20 mg dosage?
3. If you are asked to prepare 5 mL of a 2% solution,
