The interpretation of graphical data is easier and precise as all the variables can be taken into consideration at the same time.According to both the given graphs, the percent of calories that come from fat in Mexican food is about 38%.According to the bar graphs, Chinese food contains about 45% of calories from fat. Hence, out of 800 calories in a Chinese dish, the calories coming from fat are, 45/100 x 800=360 Hence, about 360 calories came from fat in a Chinese dish. Both graphs look different due to the difference in the scales of the Y-axis. The first graph shows 0 to 50 with equal intervals of 5 points whereas the second graph starts with 30 and further shoes the interval of 5 points distributing the data unequally over the Y-axis. The second graph can be misleading as due to unequal interval scales it enhances the small difference in the given data.
