The Bible should shape and impact our lives as it is God’s word and will always be relevant until the
consummation in which Jesus returns for all of those who believe in Him. The Bible and its covenants set
forth the basis for how Christians are supposed to think and act. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is
useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,” (
English Standard Version Bible
,
2016, 2 Timothy 3:16). His word is an order, reference, and guide in which we should live our Christian
life. His teachings are used for support, comfort, and protection in our times of need, and all problems
can be resolved by reading the word of God and applying it as the solution. Without the scripture,
Christians would not have the same faith that they are able to since the word comes from God directly
and describes the depiction of God’s will and the description of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus
Christ provide us with the foundation for the faith we have in Him.
