God gives all His creation the task of bringing the world under control and subduing it. “And God blessed
them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have
dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that
moves on the earth”” (

, 2016, Genesis 1:28). By doing this and doing so in
a Christlike manner, we will grow within ourselves as Christians, grow with our relationship with the
Lord, and grow the Kingdom of God itself. This helps me understand my role as a follower of Christ. I
understand that my purpose is to have an obedient life in which I obey His commandments and think,
act, and live in a righteous way. I am to marry a God-fearing woman, raise children in the way of the
Lord, and spread the Gospel until the return of Jesus Christ.
