1. What imitative behaviors might you see in young children that indicate mirror neurons are firing? When your singing a song and doing dance motions with them, when your smiling and happy the child will see it and it can change the moods of them, You are saying sight words and the children are repeating them, also if your sounding out words and then the children are also sounding them out. 2. If the research recommends that curricula are personally meaningful, what kinds of activities would likely be positively meaningful to toddlers? Prekindergartens? Meaningful activities for toddlers would be the singing at rug time, dancing to the songs, doing activities at the table and they can copy you with tracing the letters Meaningful activities for prekindergartners would be daily songs for learning the calendar, months, and days, going over sight words and repeating them and sounding them out to hear the sounds that they make, and repeating how to count numbers. 3. Knowing that you influence children's developing mirror neuron networks, how should you behave with them? When you are with the children being positive and happy around them is one way of behaving. Another thing is using manners it helps teach and show them respect for others. If you can have a smile on your face they are more likely to be happy and smiling during class.
