Read the following article on stigma: Words Matter: Terms to Use and Avoid When Talking About Addiction Then for this week’s forum discussion: Assume you are a social worker at an agency that provides services to vulnerable children and families. You are tasked with providing a staff training session at the next meeting. This training will be for clinicians, case workers, case aides and administrative staff about the impact of the stigma of addiction on children and their families. Create an outline for your presentation and include two discussion questions that you will pose to the attendees of the training for engaged discussion. Note: You may specify what type of agency you are “presenting” at (ex: foster care agency, CASA, probation office, etc) or leave it general. You do not need to create a transcript of the training, but rather an outline of talking points, and two discussion questions. Provide any resources that were used in the development of your presentation outline.
