Provide at least one effective strategy that you either already follow or are planning to follow. Explain the strategy as well as your plan to follow it. How I and others can tell that I am communicating as a leader? According to Andy Stanley “Preaching for life changes requires far less information and more application. Less explanation and more inspiration.” (Stanley, n.d). The aforementioned quotation aims to emphasize the significance of actions as opposed to words alone. People are known to be influenced by what they see, thus as leaders, our job should be more practical than engaging. You will agree with me that having a thorough understanding of how one's emotions and actions affect those around one is crucial for effective leadership. According to Goleman (1998). There are five components of emotional intelligence at work and they are self-awareness., self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. A leader with high intelligence can employ a varieties of strategies. I have chosen to talk about self-awareness. I have chosen and intend to stick with this technique since it helps us better grasp what we can and are unable to say in daily life, at work, school, as well as at home. It also helps us become more cognizant of how we are feeling. Stress comes from the external and if one who fails to be self-aware and cannot manage this stress, it may affect others intentionally or unintentionally. (Batool, 2013). There are various ways for a leader to show their presence and communicate successfully. The following crucial signs can assist both you and others in identifying your leadership communication: Confidence and Assertiveness : Communicate with confidence. When expressing your opinions and views, speak in a decisive and firm manner. But be careful to strike a balance between assertiveness and consideration for the viewpoints and opinions of others. Clarity and Vision: Express your objectives, goals, and vision in clear terms. To make sure that others can understand what you're saying, use clear, succinct language. People should be inspired and motivated to work toward a common goal via a leader's communication. Inspirational and Motivating : To uplift and encourage people, and share personal tales, motivational sayings, or inspiring quotes. An emotional connection between a leader and his or her followers may promote dedication and a feeling of responsibility. References
