SW Practice Res II Evidence-Based Practice Implementation and Evaluation Week 2 Announcements: Week 2 - Assignment Explored The Assignment is not make believe but a reality check for what you wrote in Week 1. Submit a 2- to 3-page paper that analyzes the implementation of the evidence-based practice in your field agency or practice setting:  Provide a brief description of your agency or practice setting (two sentences).  Explain any differences between the conditions of the study and the conditions at your field agency or practice setting. Explain the potential impact these differences could have on successful implementation.  Describe the steps that would be required to implement the evidence-based practice in your field agency or practice setting, including: o Any factors that would support each step and how you would leverage them o Any factors that would limit or hinder each step and how you would mitigate them  Draw conclusions about: o The anticipated results of the implementation in your practice setting o Whether your results will be similar or different from the research results in the article Use the Learning Resources and peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles to support your paper. Make sure to include appropriate APA citations and a reference list. Week 2 Assignment basically requires you to justify in a real world setting such as your field placement (internship) the strategy you suggested in the case study and client you picked. The assignment requires you to realistically evaluate whether or not what you stated to be the right intervention for the case and client in Week 1 will work in the here and now. Why will it not work? What needs to be fine-tuned? Was it the right intervention strategy in the beginning. The assignment further required you to review all of the course resources provided for weeks 1 & 2 plus to further research terms, evidence-based practices and ethical challenges. Do not read into the assignment prompts - they are written very clearly in what they are asking for. In your paper, answer the assignment prompts as stated in the forma of an APA paper. Stay on point in the structure of your paper. NOTE: Every assignment going forward will be similar to this. Use scholarly references to support your work. Week 2 Discussion: Define practice evaluation. Explain how it differs from program evaluation. Dudley (2020) defines practice evaluation as the examination of a social worker's interaction with clients, employing research techniques akin to those used in program evaluation. However, in contrast to program assessments, it specifically concentrates on the social worker's contacts with their clients. Program assessment, as defined by Dudley (2020), involves the examination of a social program through the application of scientific research methods. The evaluation assesses the program's efficacy in providing services and meeting the practical requirements of an organization, rather than focusing on theoretical considerations. Explain why a social worker must evaluate their practice, even if they are already using evidence-based interventions with clients.

SW Practice Res II Social workers must consistently evaluate their practice to ensure the efficacy, efficiency, and caliber of their services. This enables us to verify the efficacy of our activities with clients and generate tangible results. Furthermore, it is imperative that we utilize our resources effectively in order to sustain our provision of aid. Assessing the effectiveness of our initiatives is of top priority (Dudley, 2020). According to the NASW Code of Ethics (2021), social workers are morally obligated to uphold the standards and principles of their profession and their work. To ensure that we are well-informed, it is important for us to periodically assess and oversee our programs and activities, and continuously evaluate them (National Association of Social Workers, 2021). If you were to conduct an evaluation with your chosen client from Week 1, describe at least one ethical standard that may pose a challenge and explain why. To assess Tiffani Bradley's position, my primary concern would be the efficacy of assisting her in leaving the sex industry. An appropriate means of evaluating the efficacy of our assistance would be to see whether she resumes engaging in sex work. One major obstacle would be complying with NASW Standard 1.02, which emphasizes the importance of self-determination. As social workers, it is imperative that we uphold and encourage the client's autonomy and aid them in defining and refining their objectives (National Association of Social Workers, 2021). Unless Tiffani acknowledges the abusive and exploitative nature of her relationship with Donald, she may not be inclined to change her circumstances. It is imperative to have in mind that we must not enforce our desires, convictions, or viewpoints on clients. Instead, it is imperative that we utilize knowledge and evidence-based approaches to educate and empower Tiffani, enabling her to autonomously determine her own choices regarding her relationship and behavior. Even though we are aware of her being used and we have the capacity to temporarily remove her from the situation, what is it that prevents her from returning to Donald? Reference: Dudley, J. R.
