Philosophy of Education-Benchmark The purpose of education is to provide all students, including those with special needs, with the opportunity to reach their full potential and become active members of society. In meeting the learning needs of students with special needs using standards-based instruction, my personal vision is to ensure that each student receives an individualized education plan tailored to their specific strengths and challenges. This includes implementing evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations to support their learning. Ethical frameworks and professional practice standards will guide my professional practice in serving students with special needs. These frameworks emphasize principles such as respect for individuals' rights, promoting inclusivity, ensuring equity, maintaining confidentiality, and advocating for students' best interests. To deepen understanding of cultural, ethnic, gender, and learning differences among students, teachers should seek resources that offer diverse perspectives and experiences. This may include books, articles, research studies, workshops or trainings focused on cultural competence and inclusive practices. Engaging in professional activities or joining learning communities can facilitate lifelong learning. Teachers can participate in conferences, seminars, webinars, or workshops related to special education and collaborate with colleagues through online forums or professional organizations. This allows for knowledge sharing, exchanging ideas, and staying up-to-date with current research and best practices.The purpose of education is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life. My personal vision of meeting the learning needs of students with special needs using standards-based instruction is to ensure that all students have equal access to high-quality education. This includes tailoring instruction to their individual needs, providing accommodations and modifications when necessary, and setting high expectations for their academic achievement. Ethical frameworks and professional practice standards guide my professional practice by ensuring that I uphold the principles of fairness, respect, and inclusivity in my interactions with students. These frameworks also emphasize the importance of advocating for the rights and well-being of students with special needs. Teachers should seek resources that deepen their understanding of cultural, ethnic, gender, and learning differences among their students.
