Global Compact group has initiated the leadership survey. Why are
they interested in what CEOs of companies are doing? Why are some
of the most prominent CEOs willing to spend time on this study?
What is the relevance to business and its relationship to society?
For a number of reasons, the United Nations Global Compact group started
the leadership survey. They are first and foremost interested in global
company sustainability objectives and plans. The goal of the United Nations
Global Compact group is to create a standard for other leaders to follow in
promoting sustainability by choosing 55 CEOs and board members from
various firms who have shown sustainability in their strategy. To learn how
these successful leaders have attained sustainability, people are interested
in what CEOs of businesses are doing. In order to improve the corporate
environment with a focus on sustainability, the United Nations Global
Compact group can develop standards and teach other CEOs worldwide by
researching their methods and approaches. Due to the fact that consumers
are demanding that businesses implement sustainable practices and are
aware of the benefits of sustainability, prominent CEOs may be prepared to
devote time to this subject (UN Global Compact, 2021)
Prominent CEOs may keep educated and make sure that their companies
are adjusting to these changes by taking part in the study, which can help
them achieve growth and success for their companies. Because of its
emphasis on sustainability, the leadership survey is relevant to business.
Businesses may improve social responsibility and reduce their negative
effects on the environment by finding and encouraging sustainable
practices. This benefits society as a whole by fostering sustainable
development and tackling global concerns, in addition to aiding in the long-
term survival and expansion of the firm (UN Global Compact, 2021).
