Please put your answer below:
Written Questions:
1. Temperature is controlled by a complex process including three
mechanisms: Thermoreceptors are found in the skin and the
hypothalamic preoptic nucleus. Sweating and peripheral vasodilation
have thermoregulatory effects. In the brain, there is a control area.
Normal body temperature does not change much as people become
older. However, as you become older, your body's ability to regulate
temperature gets increasingly challenging. It is more difficult to retain
body heat when there is less fat under the skin.
Perspiration ability decreases with age. The individual may have trouble
recognizing when they are overheated. The person is at risk of
overheating as a result of this. The person may also be at risk of
hazardous temperature dips.
2.
The body can actively transport electrolytes into and out of cells to
adjust fluid levels. As a result, appropriate electrolyte concentrations
are required to maintain fluid equilibrium between compartments
(called electrolyte balance).
Water balance refers to homeostasis, or relative consistency of body
fluid levels, which is a critical condition for healthy survival. This means
that the body's total volume and distribution of water remain normal
and consistent. The «inputs», or water intake, must be balanced by the
«outputs». If the amount of water entering the body exceeds what is
required, it must be removed; nevertheless, if the losses are
considerable, urgent replacement is required. A fluid imbalance means
that the overall volume of bodily water in one or more of the fluid
compartments has grown or decreased above normal levels.
Different buffer substances are available to the body, and their job is to
neutralize acids created as a result of regular body activity and
metabolism, as well as to maintain a consistent blood pH, contributing
to proper acid-base balance.
In the elderly, body composition changes, and total body water declines
with age. It is 60 percent in young males and 54 percent in the elderly.
It is 52 percent in young women and 46 percent in elderly women. The
intracellular compartment suffers as a result of the decrease in total
body water. As a result, hyponatremia and hypernatremia are more
easily caused by an excess or deficiency in fluid consumption.
Osmoreceptors, which are specialized hypothalamic neurons found
mostly in the supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei, function through

volume changes. These cells initiate an efferent response in response
to water loss and increased osmolarity, which includes stimulating the
thirsty reflex and releasing antidiuretic hormone (ADH), a nonapeptide
with a very short half-life, into the circulation. It works by changing the
permeability of the distal tubule to water, allowing urine to concentrate.
As a result, changes in the thirst mechanism, the ultimate action of anti
- diuretic hormone, as well as the ability of the renal to concentrate or
diluted urine are the important physiological mechanisms for
comprehending hydroelectrolytic and depends to a large extent
variations in the aged.
3.
For the most part, the body loses water by excreting it as urine through
the kidneys. The kidneys can emit less than half a liter or many liters of
urine every day, depending on the body's needs.
Evaporative cooling of the water held inside the skin and breathing lose
nearly 1 liter every day. Sweating profusely increases the quantity of
water that evaporates, which can be produced by strenuous exercise,
warmer temperatures, or a high body temperature. A little quantity of
water is lost first from digestive system under normal circumstances;
but, in cases of persistent vomiting or severe diarrhea, up to four L can
be wasted in one day.
4.
The sympathetic nervous system and the circulatory regulation units of
the central nervous system (CNS), as well as vasodilator and
vasoconstrictor factors and the kidney, all play a role in blood pressure
regulation. In terms of shape and time, all of these systems is unique.
Nervous control tries to maintain a healthy blood pressure level by
quickly detecting and readjusting BP variations. The humoral systems,
in collaboration with the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), regulate
the diameter of muscle arteries, which is related to changes in
peripheral resistance.
Both the SNS and the body's immune systems play a role in regulating
the proliferation of various types of cells in the artery wall, which has a
significant impact on peripheral vascular resistance. The kidney helps
to maintain long-term blood pressure control by managing ion and
water excretion, as well as controlling blood volume and thus cardiac
output. Furthermore, the SNS and several vasoactive humoral
substances play a role in regulating of kidney function, making the
kidney implicitly accountable for BP control.

Case Study 1
1.
The most important thing is to ensure Abraham's rights are protected,
to promote active and healthy aging, to allow him to deteriorate and
implement programs and plans, and to attend to his recognized needs
in health promotion, quality of care, and social issues.
The care plan must encourage active and healthy aging through
education, self-care, and healthy behaviors, as well as an
assessment and nutritional instruction.
Similarly, the strategy must ensure care quality through
comprehensive health care, geriatric assessment, family
functioning and social-community support, and a review of
caregiver support programs, among other things.
To minimize dependency and/or improve Abraham's quality of life,
a professional examination should be conducted, as well as
community-based rehabilitation with family engagement.
It should be noted that in all these processes the needs and goals
that Abraham has must be added, it is important to establish
follow-up processes to ensure that we can support Abraham in
everything he needs.
Among the tasks I can help Abraham with are:
Keep an eye on his hearing aid and remind him and help him use
it.
Remind him about the time to pray and take him to a quiet place.
Take him outside for 30 minutes in a wheelchair and put
sunscreen on him.
Put on Abraham's favorite radio station.
Make sure that he is comfortable, calm and satisfied at all times.
In addition, he respects his privacy.
Arrange books for him to read.
Remind you that the glasses must be clean.
Take him for walks using his walker in the mornings, or take him
in his wheelchair.
Make sure I meet all the requirements for the shower, such as
water, type of towel and type of soap.
Help you with the entire oral cleaning process.

Constant review of the state of the skin, make sure that Abraham
is in constant movement and goes to the bathroom.
Check that the room before sleeping is in the correct and
adequate conditions for Abraham to go to bed without problem.
2.
To follow up on his nutrition, someone must do the necessary checkup
and establish his diet and make sure it is Kosher as he wants. It should
be noted that he is diabetic and has arthritis.
The medication must be stipulated by a doctor or specialist and give
me the guidelines or requirements that I must follow according to
Abraham's needs.
3.
I believe that it is necessary for a nutritionist and doctor to review
Abraham's health conditions in order to establish what his necessary
nutritional requirements are and to be able to adapt these to his Kosher
diet, as well as to identify what type of medication he should be given
and under what conditions.

Judith has several uncomfortable, discolored
purple tender areas on both shoulders, as well as
a smaller one on the right side of the head that is
about 3 cm broad.
There's blood on the sheets over his buttocks and
through his jeans. Her sheets were smeared with
feces and urine odor.
Judith appeared distressed and withdrawn.
Her skin was quite red and discolored around an
open incision that was about 2 cm wide. It also
caused her discomfort because she winced in pain
when examining her skin.
She's been in bed for two days due to exhaustion.
She had lost a lot of weight since the last time I
saw her, which was around two months ago.

Case Study 3
1.
a.
Maximilian's mental health can be affected by this situation because
the stress of thinking about the situation and that he begins to
isolate himself from his peers and activities that he normally enjoys
doing, can cause him to enter a state of depression or deep sadness.
b.
Two examples of protective factors can be the good attitude and
positivity that Maximilian himself has.
On the other hand, Maximilian has social support at the center, he
has people who take care of him and are aware of and willing to help
him, he has a roommate who cares about him and he has
classmates with whom he shares and does different activities.
c.
The fact of moving back home and having to pay for the necessary
supplies for Max's recovery, such as a nurse, medications,
treatments, etc. It can cause a lot of stress for Max because the
costs can be very high and if he does not have the financial capacity
it can be very stressful for him and cause problems in his marriage
as well.
The change of life, going from moving freely or not being able to do
so and more the fact of returning to normal life where he will have to
face normal situations in a different way, can also strongly impact
Max's well-being.
2.
Max can do three things to
augment
his
physical
treatment
and
fitness
routine.
How can these exercises support his
quick recovery and promote healthy
body functioning?
Stretching sessions
Stretching
sessions
bring
many
benefits for elderly and disabled people
such as: allows muscle toning, strict
weight
control,
improvement
in
flexibility, strength, endurance and
speed, increased blood circulation and
improved body posture, pain reduction
body and production of endorphins and
increased self-esteem.

Self love routine
The different circumstances that Max
faces
can
cause
frustration,
introversion and isolation, so it is
important to work on his self-esteem
and motivation. Therefore, we must
encourage positive social relations,
promote
independence,
self-
knowledge, acceptance, they are
important. Another strategy is to
emphasize Max's strengths, accentuate
the positive, and celebrate victories.
Proper
nutrition
and
supplementation.
Max should be assessed by a
nutritionist so that his nutrition may be
tailored to his needs and he can attain
his goals more rapidly. Nutrition is a
beneficial Physiotherapy intervention
because it keeps the body's protein
synthesis from decreasing, allowing the
body to maintain strength and muscle
mass.
