Assessment description In this assessment you need to select 4 activities and plan, demonstrate and evaluate the activities as per instructions in Part A, B and C. Procedure 1. Provisions for decision making and delegation of tasks When making decision in instance 3, by involving team member in making the decision, this gives each employee the opportunity to voice their opinions, and to share their knowledge with others. The allocation and delegation of tasks to individuals and the team overall was very effective. Everyone understands their roles and responsibilities. They can act independently on their role. The shortfalls or weaknesses identified are that sometime, manager do not know their team member well that they might give the task that their staff is not good at or they are not happy to do it. It is good to have an open communication so that the staff can express their thoughts and do not have to do what they do not want to do. People tends to cut corners when they are do the things that they do not like. d. What feedback have you provided? To whom? Positive feedback to all the team members about their performance. Also, criticism feedback to the staff, chef, bartenders and waiters, on what went wrong and how we can improve it. e. What feedback have you received from individuals, and the team overall? Positive feedback from both individuals and the team. The team is well informed and organized. Manager is open and respect the team members’ opinion. f. In instance 4, feedback from customer was received about the food. Food allergies is sometime life threatening and should be taken seriously. We must be very careful and pay attention to the detail.
