HSCI345 Final Exam – Individual Topic You will answer these questions in full sentence format, during the HSCI345 exam on April 18 th , 2023. Suggested time is 60-75 minutes. You can prepare for your answers in advance. Complete the Literature Review Template (worth 7%) and using the backside of that template to compose draft notes of your ideas. You will hand in your template. Your template should be in point form only. You are also welcome to bring hard copies of your three sources with you to the final exam. If you do, you must submit the hard copies with your exam. (You will be able to pick up these articles after grades have been submitted). Do not include NOTES related to any other HSCI345 material on these articles. This part of the exam is worth 8% of your grade in HSCI345. 1. Introduce the issue or problem you will focus on. Provide background information about what we know about the issue/problem and explain how you will be conceptualizing and defining key variables in relation to your ideas. [1 page] 2. Write a very brief summary of the scientific evidence you examined and reported on in the template. Your summary should situate your answer to #3 in the context of the existing literature. [1 page] 3. OPTIONS You do only 1 of these options on the final exam, either 3a OR 3b OR 3c. [This section should be 2-4 pages, handwritten]. 3a. Describe a future research study focused on the topic you identified that builds on the research reported in Part 2. Explain the research question that will be answered, the target sample and other key features of the proposed study design. Justify your proposed study in context of the existing evidence base. 3b.
