WHY MORE ACADEMIC SOURCE EVALUATION INFO?
I feel that we are hitting this hard because it is important to evaluate sources when we are writing to make sure they are reliable and accurate. Albert Einstein once said “The only source of knowledge is experience”

What I take from this quote
is does not pertain to my personal experiences rather the experiences of the many authors, teachers, basically whoever you are citing to gather information to create your own writing. Taking their work as inspiration and giving them the credit for using it for your writing. We should be skeptical and do our research.
There are several things to keep your eye out for when evaluating sources. We have to watch out for biased language, lack of author credentials, and outdated unverifiable information. Now more than ever I feel that we tend to believe everything we read. There has never been a time in history where there was so much information available at our fingertips. This is all thanks to internet, technology, social media and much more. We have the world in our pockets. It is of the upmost importance that we are certain the information that we use is accurate.
