Reflection
I considered a cross-cultural topic related to communication, such as "Cultural
Differences in Communication Styles and Their Implications for Global Business." Cross-
cultural communication is an intriguing aspect as it highlights how cultural variations can
influence communication norms, leading to misunderstandings or successful collaborations.
However, for this assignment, I opted for the impact of social media on interpersonal
communication as it remains a contemporary and relevant subject in today's digital society.
Cross-cultural communication interests me because it offers insights into the diverse ways people
from different cultures express themselves, share information, and interpret messages (
Lifintsev &
Wellbrock, 2019)
. It also brings attention to the significance of cultural sensitivity and adaptability
in fostering effective communication across borders.
