Chapter 9.4, Problem 3RIA
Summary Introduction
Bacteriostatic agent are chemical or biological agent that does not kill bacteria unnecessarily, but it will stops bacteria from replication. Based on their use, bacteriostatic can be distinguished into disinfectants, antiseptics, antibiotics, and preservatives. The bacterial growth is limited through bacteriostatic antibiotics by interfering replication of DNA and production of bacterial protein.
