An idea about the chemotherapeutic agent effectiveness against a pathogen is to get from minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC). The lowest drug concentration that avoids the particular growth of pathogens is known as the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC). The lowest concentration of drug that destroys the pathogen is called as minimal lethal concentration (MLC).
