Interpretation:
The formulas of major species present in the solution for the acids hydrochloric acid, hydrosulfuric acid, perchloric acid, and hypochlorous acid are to be stated.
Concept introduction:
The ionic compounds are highly soluble in water and dissociate into the water to give its ions. Thus, they are good conductors of electricity and are classified as electrolytes. The molecular compounds are neutral and do not dissociate into ions when dissolved in water. Very few of molecular compounds produce the ions when dissolved in water.
