Chapter 8, Problem 2MC
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Glucose metabolism is a cycle of biological processes which break down glucose molecules to obtain ATPs. It involves three pathways: glycolysis, fermentation, and cellular respiration pathways. During glycolysis and fermentation process glucose breaks down and form pyruvate, ethanol, and 2 ATP molecules. Cellular respiration involves two pathways: the formation of acetyl CoA followed by Kreb’s cycle and the electron transport chain.
