Introduction: The skeletal framework of the vertebrates that provides attachment for the forelimbs are referred to as the pectoral girdle. It is also termed as the shoulder girdle and the term “girdle” suggests a ring-shaped structure. It supports the upper limb and provides several attachments to the muscles that move them.
