Spectroscopy: it is study of the interaction of matter and electromagnetic radiation, a continuum of different types of electromagnetic radiation each associated with a particular energy range makes up the electromagnetic spectrum.
Electromagnetic radiation is defined as form of energy which is produced by oscillation of electric and magnetic interruption or by movement of electrically charged particles through vacuum. The frequency or wavelength range of electromagnetic radiation is called electromagnetic spectrum.
