Enterprise processes:
Enterprise processes provide the organization to sustain longer and also it supports the activities performed in various departments. Example: In a corporate company, the process of recruiting a person supports activities in financial department, the employee’s specialized department, and so on.

Challenges in upgrading Enterprise Information Systems:
There are five challenges in upgrading enterprise information systems. They are:
- Collaborative Management
- Requirements Gaps
- Transition Problems
- New technology
- Employee resistance
Collaborative management:
Collaborative management is nothing, but the management working in groups which plans, co-ordinate and monitor the organization. Here, there is no a single boss in “Permit approving” application. If any problem occurs, they resolve on their own. The team faces this challenge by developing committees and this will be an effective solution.
Requirement Gaps:
In “Permit approving” system, it is difficult to identify requirements if it is an enterprise system...

- Determine the most critical step of the SDLC and support your response with at least two examples/scenarios.arrow_forwardDefine prospective problems while you create the framework, then consider potential obstacles as you implement your solutions. Either way. Is this significant or not?arrow_forwardExplain the steps to be followed in order to obtain a CMMI certificate, item by item. Explain implementation roadmap. - If you were assigned to Jim’s team for thisproject, what activities would you conduct inorder to prepare the details for the baselineproject plan? Explain the purpose of eachactivity and show a timeline or schedule forthese activities.arrow_forwardWhat is multiple issue? Write any two approaches.arrow_forwardwhen Robert called for an emergency meeting.EMERGENCY MEETINGIn the meeting, Robert was not very excited to hear issues or complaints from Luke, who was the systems analyst. Robert knew that Luke was very experienced butstubborn and liked to make last - minute changes. The role of the systems analystwas to design how to implement the Oracle system, and the developer (Jason) andthe solutions engineer (Jasmine), should agree to the plan before the next FWT.Robert: So, what is going on? Could someone explain to me what is happening?Jasmine: We could not agree on how to handle flat file bit conversion. I am notsure if you ’ re familiar with the flat file.Robert: No, please explain.Jasmine: Okay, it is easier if I draw. (See Figure 3.2.)Jasmine: The new system must be able to receive the 16 - bit from the existingsystem to ensure that input feeds are not misconfigured. So, the new system mustbe programmed to handle it. The small box within the Implementation box is the conversionprocess that…arrow_forward
- You are asked to do some requirement development. Suppose you are asked to develop a booking system for a public library system Define a possible scope for the system using the following steps. First list a wide range of things that the system could do. Then narrow down the scope by selecting the most important features that you would implement in the first release of the system. Finally, give a precise problem statement for the system. Identify stakeholders of the system. Then select one important stakeholder and design a list of questions for interviewing that stakeholder. Give functional requirements and quality requirements of the system. Create a list of use cases and describe two of them in detail using the method discussed in class (two-column method). Then draw use cases diagram to describe the system Using UML. Indicate extension, generalization and inclusion, if there are any.arrow_forwardQ1. Q2. Q3. Q4. Q5. Q6. Develop a list of use cases for the ECSS (please do not include multiple tables). Present your list in a table that includes the participating actors, use case name and a brief use case description. For those identified via Event Decomposition technique, you need to include the event and type of event. (Note that some use cases are already identified below. Include these in your lists.) (in Hint: You NEED to use CRUD to identify at least two use cases (Please add a note at the bottom of the table to explicitly state which use case(s) are identified via CRUD). Create a domain model class diagram for the ECSS, including all classes, attributes, associations, and multiplicity. Show association classes and generalization hierarchies where appropriate. ( Create a fully-developed use case description for the use case Find caterer. Follow the template provided at the end of this handout. Read the case study carefully before answering these questions. A system analyst in your team has identified main user goals for the system, as shown below. Use ONLY the goals in this list to draw a Use Case diagram with all the actors and associations required.Goals List Online account registration Searching for book Adding and Removing book Viewing order status Opening dispute on order Listing book Notifying shipments TheEyesHaveIt.Com Book Exchange Case Study TheEyesHaveIt Book Exchange is a type of e-business exchange that does business entirely on the Internet.
