Introduction:
Intervertebral discs are fibrocartilages present between adjacent vertebrae in the vertebral column. Annulus fibrosus and nucleus pulposus are part of the intervertebral disc. A prolapsed disc or a slipped disc is an abnormality related to the distortion of the intervertebral disc structure.
